This eventually leads to certain fundamental inquiries into the cause of wrinkling skin, and even more critically, how to delay it from happening. A number of variables may contribute to wrinkling of the skin: an unhealthy dietary habit,, or worse yet&#8230; a smoking habit. One more: the total absence of an exercise routine. The list that science continues to add on to manages to keep growing year after year.</p>
<p>The truly unfortunate part is that there&#8217;s a big genetic component to skin&#8217;s resistance to aging. Your genetics do play a part in the basic composition of your skin, and how much it&#8217;s able to keep its elasticity and resist the destructive effects of things like reactive oxygen species (ROS), sun rays, and advanced glycation end products (AGEs). The fantastic news is that science is demonstrating through the field of epigenetics that the way in which your genes express themselves can be highly variable despite the actual sequence of the code.</p>
<p>What the science is actually demonstrating is that you can take control. You do not have to give up and allow your skin to follow some kind of inevitable course. To believe to the contrary is to surrender yourself to a some kind of nihilistic viewpoint which is counter-productive, entirely unnecessary, and indeed demonstrably false.</p>
<p>What are the steps a person can take to prevent aging of the skin? One is to consume a diet abundant in vegetables, and extremely low in sugar. Some daily fruit is reasonable, but in excess even sugar from fruit can be detrimental. Sugar forms advanced glycation end products (AGES) which can damage DNA, and enhance or speed up aging. It is also important to get a lot of fiber, and a diverse variety of vitamins and minerals. People often boost their intake by supplementing with vitamin pills, because it can be difficult to cover all of the bases otherwise.</p>
<p>Regular exercise is most likely the singular greatest step a man or woman can take to slow down the aging process. Exercise enables your body chemistry to adapt to stress in a controlled environment, and can make it more resilient to other stresses. Greater volumes of musculature has also been correlated with surprising things like a reduced risk of developing cancer. A combination of weight training and cardiovascular exercise like running on the treadmill are two great suggestions for success.</p>
